Bruce popped up on the album thread a few times. What is your fave Bruce - explain why, if you want to, don't if you don't want to.

Born to Run. Thunder Road, Tenth Avenue Freeze-out, and Jungleland would be my top three reasons.
NJ native here- full disclosure.
As I stated in the other thread, “Asbury Park” is my favorite- mainly because it has a good mix of upbeat (Growin Up), and melancholy (Mary Queen of Arkansas, The Angel). Blinded by the Light is NOT a good song, but I will admit I like it anyway. The whole album just sounds young-ish (can’t remember if this came before or after “The Wild, The Innocent…”)
“Nebraska” is an unbelievable album as well, and call me cheesy, but “The Rising” is fairly high on my list.
“Born in the USA” gets a bad rap because it had so many pop hits, but Darlington County, I’m On Fire, and My Hometown are all kick butt songs.
Funny story- my cousin is an NJ state trooper, but not a big music fan. He’s K9 and event security and somehow became responsible for driving Bon Jovi from somewhere to Giants Stadium for a show. They make small talk, etc etc and JBJ asks him what’s his favorite song of his? He tries to bluff his way through it “Oh, I don’t know, I like them all”, but is pressed to give an answer. “Fine- Glory Days.” Woops, ha ha ha.
my name is Matt
Go turn in your Jersey card for not knowing the Greetings was first and The Wild, The Innocent was second.
The proper answer to the BonJovi question is : you guys are a bunch of posers.
On my weekend solo training ipod playlist.

great album
Nebraska. Because of this:
Anybody got a problem with that?
Yep... gotta be Nebraska.
Choosing a favorite Bruce Springstink album is on par with choosing a favorite venereal disease. Some are better than others, but they all suck in some way.
Darkness on the Edge of Town by a hair over Born To Run, which just edges Nebraska.
Agree that the cheese factor of some Born in the USA material drags that album's good stuff down unfairly. I'd say the same thing was going on with The River as well.
Album is Nebraska. Single is Ghost of Tom Joad.
I ride a cross state tour or two in summers, Bike Across Kansas and RAGBRAI ( Air Force Team) this 2011 summer. While RAGBRAI gets a little crowded to zone out, BAK with its long and low interference miles, is a good place to get into your own world and pace while listening to Springsteen and others. For me, Springsteen, Emmylou Harris, The Band, and others.
Hands down, it's Nebraska!
