Default SKYNET: A DIY/Entry level frame fixture

Hey folks, I wanted to share this in case some are interested.

I've partnered with a novice builder to develop a fixture that gives a huge amount of power to folks with small budgets and big dreams. I've posted details to my blog and Ben Land is posting on his YouTube. It should really change things up.

This went live this week. It's a work in progress but should really help a lot of folks.
I posted here as it may have a lot of cross interest.

Anxiously awaiting the outcome. Have always wanted to give it a go, but it was an expensive endeavor to take on with just the equipment, let alone learning how to weld, fabricate, file, fit, etc.,.

Interesting concept and cool that the table can be used for all kinds of other projects. Curious how flat the welding tables are? I could not find a spec when visiting the Sigmund or Rhino Cart websites.

Usually quoted at +/- 0.2 mm over a 600 x 600 plate. Cast and ground tables can do better than that, approaching the flatness of optical tables but that extra precision costs extra money.
