    Default Super bowl

Was hoping to see the packers.
    Bad end for them today.

As a Seahawk local, that was a painful and comic experience. I'm not sure I have ever seen a more unlikely outcome. They may need another cup of coffee before the Super Bowl kickoff. They cannot be sleepwalking for 3+ quarters on offence against NE.

    I can’t believe the Packers lost…

Seahawks vs Pats should be a great game!

I hope Sherman isn’t hurt too badly, as I want him on the field when Brady wins his 4rth ring!

Should have been the Ravens in the AFC championship game...but didn't work out that way. Wanted the Packer in the SB...we'd have a decent chance of beating them. No way NE beats Seattle unless the Seahawks show up and have a really bad day at the office....which I think is unlikely. Nobody will be happier then me to be proven wrong about the SB outcome...but I gots a bad feeling.

Lots of Seahawks and Packers fans last night at Smokey's Cantina. Thankfully we 'Hawks folks were doing all the beer-bottle clinking at the end of the game. ¡Madre Dios! The finish was a heart stopper. All my wife's people are from the Boston area so we'll have some pretty good intra-family bets.

WE will see what happens but the Hawks were terrible yesterday for most of the game and will only move on cause of a couple of most unlikely events.
The 2 point conversion was crazy. The defender forgot to put his arm out.. yikes.
The onside kick was another fluke of flukes.

We these the Hawks are watching the big game on tv.

That said... hope it's a good game.
All the Patriot so wins have been by 3 pts so maybe close

The Packers make it that far and are owning the Seattle team in Seattle and completely implode. I'm sick.

I think Mike McCarthy is a great coach but he blew this one. It's on him. Bad play calling. They needed a few critical time wasting first downs and the game is over. They were in the lead 19-0 and lose. Weak.

    Season's over. Next year.

    2 things I couldn't get over.

That second FG should have been tried for a TD.

What were those play calls with GB at 5:00 left to go. Right up the middle 3 and out.....holy crap that was bad.

Sherman's injured and they don't even try getting Nelson 1 on 1 with him?

Oh the pain....I'm still a bit stunned.

Rodgers was a trooper and refused to let his team down, but the two posts above hit the mark. The play calling was dreadful, and the killer instinct just wasn't there.

If Seattle doesn't regroup real quick, the Pats are going to rip them to shreds.

Sherman: I actually thought he was “playing possum” at first, trying to get the ball thrown his way. Crazy thought, but then again, it’s Richard Sherman.

    To add to gb pain
In the last minute it was a surprise that they were going to pass?
    3 straight 20yd completions in a row?
The 2 pt conversion was the knife... not the td.
They will relive that one no doubt.

    Where did the defenders go.

Seemed like the Green Bay game plan assumed they'd be playing from behind in the 4th quarter. Nothing written down on the clipboards about preserving a lead.

And now....InflateGate. Do I put it past my Pats? Nah. But as every lawyer knows; There's what you Know...and what you can Prove. On the true upside...Wilfork pulled some lady out of a wrecked car on his way home last night.

Why I worry; 1) Russell Wilson - The New Tom Brady. 2) Seahawks defense. 3) Revis's weak spot; Downfield. 4) The wrong Brady shows up.

    Don't worry.
    It's just a football game
Brady can't throw long anymore but he let's it fly short and doesn't make mistakes.
    Working toward the swansong.
This would be a good one to get.

Peytons swan song was really ugly.

I pick the Patriots. Russel Wilson showed all kinds of weakness last night against a normally average Packer defense. They are far from unbeatable. A stat was presented last week regarding QB rating. When the Seattle franchise plays high level QBs like Rodgers or, for example, Tom Brady, they're decidedly average. I don't think the Seattle club won as much last night as the Packers got ahead of themselves and forgot to play the last 15 minutes. That's no excuse. They lost. But I think the NE organization will defeat the Seattle organization. At least I hope so. I'd like to see Brady win #4 as long as the Packers aren't in the picture and I really, really want to see this Seattle team take a beating.

It would be better if I didn't care about this. But growing up watching the Packers on a B&W rotary dial TV out of Green Bay and having seen dozens of games in person and having your family own seats it's hard not to care. It's part of the fabric of growing up in NE Wisconsin. I'm glad my father didn't have to watch last night's fiasco. His ashes are churning in Lake Michigan right now.....

I don't really care (who am I kidding - of course I care), and watching the Giants beat the Packers in the NFC Championship game about 7 or 8 years ago was actually much worse than last night, but I'd rather see NE win. I'm tired of this 12th man garbage and their college coach. We'll see what happens. No high road for me. At least not today.

I grew up with and then covered hawks games featuring qbs named krieg. kitna. Stouffer. Mirer. Who were those guys? Exactly. Not as much of an nfl fan anymore but glad for all of the fans that are friends. They know they got lucky yesterday and they'll still take wilson 8 days a week. They paid dues for a long time.

The Seahawks had a bad 1st 55 minutes, but they've been a lot of fun to watch this year. They play a style of football that I enjoy.

I start to hate them really quickly though once the ownership and management starts their nauseating pandering to the fans with this "12" nonsense.

I was in Seattle in September the day of the home opener against the Packers. Downtown was insane. The fans LOVE the team. They would love the team whether or not they get jerked off by Paul Allen about how indispensable they are to the success of the franchise. Stop it. Please.
