Default lets set the terminology straight

    a "mil" is not a millimeter or a mm but rather 1 mil= .001"

abbreviation for millimeter is in fact mm.

23C tires? WTF is C? It's 23mm by 700C despite what the tire company's mold on their tires.

I agree with calling a mm what it is, but .001" has always been "thou" to me.

    It's also 0,5mm ; never 0.5mm.

This perplexes the shit out of me. It never feels "right" to say its a 23c tire.

I just love it when folks talk about their epic rides as if the word was a unit of measure atmo.

or 10 tenths for those with three-phase.

oh those crazy euro commas and nummers. never an issue ,4, me. "comma" is easier to see when scratching out specs by hand. I've never been one to put a useless zero in front of the decimal point where whole numbers stop and fractions of them begin. point five is point five, or a half unit. never zeropointfive.

A steerer tube is not a head tube. Head tubes don't come in 1" spec, steerer tubes do. A personal pet peave is the "I want a bike with a 1" headtube" comment. Yes, we are smart enough to understand you, but if you're going to build a frame you should at least know some basics.

Serious question, what is the difference between the two?

That's a regional thing, not correct vs. incorrect.

People used to leave home, walking, and be gone for three-fifths of their lifetimes.

    That was epic.
