    Default Nick Offerman's Wood Shop

Some of you know this, I'm sure, but Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation's Ron Swanson, etc) is an INCREDIBLE woodworker. I can kill hours on his website just looking at the gorgeous stuff he makes. Tables, desks, canoes, etc. Seriously.

Yes he is! I was discussing this with a coworker just yesterday. Seems that both of us want to start woodworking shops and build canoes in our garages. I haven't been in a canoe in ten years, but I've been daydreaming about it recently. Great videos, and he's a funny guy.

Find Of The Day for me. Thanks!!!!! I had no idea. On the subject of wood; For my birthday this past weekend, kids gave me a Gransfors Bruks Small Splitting axe for chopping up wood for the stove. Very nicely made. Plain but lovely.

I've heard him on Adam Carolla's podcast several times. Very articulate about craftsmanship. And funny as hell. If you wander over to Dan Winter's website, he has some videos of Nick being ridiculous.

Thanks for posting this. Those canoes in particular are amazing. A large pile of reclaimed oak in my garage is slowing making its way into a kitchen table.

    My pleasure!
