OT - Flickr question about Recent Activity

I'm reasonably new to Flickr but love the interaction - much better than Picasa which imo is a better way of storing images online.

Is there a way to be updated via email about Recent Activity - ie: people commenting on my photos or replying to my comments? There isn't even a prompt on Flickr like when you've got a new private message.

i have a flickr pro account and every time i check my home page there i click "recent activity" and get all the info.
ps why would you even want PMs and emails through flickr?

i get an email notification when i get a pm through flickr.
the comment notifications only show up as recent activity in your flickr "home", i just check flickr when i have time and see the new comments and check out my contacts new uploads...

http://www.flickr.com -> "You" menu (top of the screen, hit the little triangle) -> "Your Account" -> "Emails & Notifications" -> edit the "Emails we send to you" section as desired.

Perfect - thanks! I had a dig in the options but missed this one.

I use google apps as a do-all / dashboard so it's nice to have an update.

You might not want them, but people do send such messages, and if you aren't checking it could be a really long time before you notice that somebody asked you a question.

my contact info is listed on my profile, so folks either send a message on an image (and i see it in plain view on "recent activity")
or they email me through the contact info. sending a flickr mail or a PM through flickr is redundant. luckily, i have avoided these
extra steps. we're all so accessible as it is; i don't think each and every portal or site should allow increased access. for the ones
that do, i avoid many of them in favor of more conventional delivery systems atmo.
