    Default Truss Frame Replica Pics

As I stated before, I'm new to the Velo...
So I don't know where else to begin beside saying hello, and showing off my first frame project.

Having restored several antique motorcycles, my love for pre-war machinery crosses over to bikes, tractors, and anything else old and heavy...
So after seeing a few pics of Antbike Mike's trussframe bike, and researching a few designs...
I decided to build an early period racer.

I used an old 10speed Viscount donor frame, knocked off the unused cable guides, derailleur hanger, and other braze-on bosses,
then bent and hand-mitred a truss style frame piece...and cracked open the tanks and grab some rod.

She is back from powder coating, and I'm happy with my first attempt at this sort of thing.
    Enjoy...

Here is an additional pic of the build up...
I built the wheels from scratch using a Sturmy-Archer two speed internal kick hub, and a plain shimano Tiagra hub in front,
laced on 700 rims from Alex. White Fyxation 700x23 tires and a Brooks saddle add to the age of the machine.
I'm still polishing my aluminum bits and waiting for my Soma bars to arrive.
