It is good to have a toolbox with channel locks (large, small), a crescent wrench (large, small), an assortment of screwdrivers, a utility knife, splice tape, electrical tape, and a box of parts. In my box of parts are fuses, basic garden hose fittings, plumber's tape, JB Waterweld, and a spare 30 Amp plug. Over the winter, I had my travel trailer at an RV repair place to replace the 30 Amp plug and kitchen faucet. I have an extended warranty. The faucet is good to go and was incredibly expensive (warranty), and they went cheap on the plug and did a poor job connecting the wires. Today, I replaced the plug in the rain after the old (new) one burned up. The wires had shorted in the plug. My spare plug was a much better version with a better cable clamp. I had to cut about 3" off my cord to remove the burned wires and install the new one.
