Words to Live by From the Obituary Page
I read this and thought the salon would enjoy:
"The youth wondered what he should be.
His prof said, “You’re missing the key.
Life’s not to be, but to do.
Pick a task, follow through.
You’ll live ever after most happily."
Jack Oliver, who studied earthquakes and proved continental drift
It appealed to me because I am such a handwringing fretmeister that I find such clarity, confidence and purpose enviable.
And because its a limerick.
I read a biography of Picasso in which he said "If I had been a priest, I would have become Pope." He had "follow through".
I know there a lot of "doers" here. Do you have the follow through to live ever after most happily?
