    Default Pickle knives are in

    This might be seem spammy and if it does feel free to move it but I figured that with the amount of people here that like to cook and prepare food and entertain these little number may be well recieved.

    The back story;

    Quite a number of years ago a friend turned me onto his sweet pickle recipe along with a jar of pickles. I ate them with dinner and by the next weekend I was working on my own batch. Always the customizer and a big fan of texture in my food I undertook the task of making a tool to make the pickles look and feel like store bought. Lacking the proper equipment, I struggled with the size of the corrugations completing two the hard way but never following thru with my plans for more.

    This has now changed, with the recent aquisition of a 35 ton press brake for my shop and the right piece of specialty tooling I have now made a short run of what i'm calling 'pickle knives'.

    These are not just for sweet pickles but can make any veggie tray an instant hit. they will work on any firm veggie or food. Cukes, carrots, green pepper halves, apples and Jicama are the ones that come to mind the fastest. I have also used them on potatos that I baked in the oven on a buttered pan with salt and spices.

    I really encourage you to make a batch of pickles with it, I'll dig up the instructions at somepoint but mostly its just a fun way to eat and it makes things beautiful and unique.

    The metal is sharpend before forming with a double bevel to keep it cutting straight. The original knife that I made 7-8 years ago is still going strong. There is a lot of surface area so the cut is not japanese sushi knife quality but it does just fine as long as the veggies aren't going soft.

    They measure 5-1/4" wide and 5-3/4" tall with a 3/4" diameter handle on the top to grab.

    There is 5 in this first run, i'm thinking $20 shipped both to gauge interest and get some feedback.

    To keep from conducting business thru the PM function of the forum you can email and/or paypal me at jakejake54@yahoo.com.

    First five take them, after that I'll repost with a due date for more.

    Thanks for taking a look

    Jake

    I got mine too, it would be a bargain at twice the price.
