Winnipeg Dining Recs?

My wife and I will be in Winnipeg this weekend, and we'd like to find some good food. Genre is generally open.

Any recommendations?

The bar at the Fort Garry is a wonderful spot for a drink, old style former CP Rail hotel. Can't help with food though.

When I am in Winnipeg I am generally downtown ( at the aforementioned Fort Garry - it's a Fairmont so it's part of the approved network for us), for eats I generally head over to the Forks market area. I wish I knew more as I know there are some neat little places on the fringes of downtown but I usually just do the familiar and head to the market - I can always find something neat over there ( including beer).
