    Default Car wheel advice

Slowly learning about these things but looking for some expert advice to shortcut the process.

Need(want): 2nd set of wheels for Mini Cooper. Prefer 16 inch as balance of looks and ride. Would prefer NOT to spend $800 a wheel on BBS or equivalent. OEM are too expensive. Sounds a lot like bikes: light, strong, inexpensive. Choose two. SO, what is a good compromise manufacturer?

    O.Z., Konig, Rota others???

    Many thanks!

I've used Rotas on my Miata, WRX and STI. For the money I don't think they can be beat. The only other option at that price is the 6UL from 949 Racing - 6UL 6ULR wheels , Miata performance

Don't know if those come in a Mini fitment, though.
    Insubordinate. And Churlish.

A second set for dedicated snow tires? I'd get some cheap black steelies. They're cool in a polar sort of way. Your local tire shop is often a good source since they're heavy and expensive to ship.
