This is normally one of the last steps I do by hand, but since I brazed the binder on earlier I might as well use the lathe.

The rock star is dying. And it's a small tragedy. Rock stars have blogs now. I have no use for that kind of rock star.

No time to post these last week as it was straight from the paint booth to the truck. Here's what they looked like in San Diego:
A blue beast, a blued beast, and a bilam road bike that's Winterrific!
Hoped to have this one painted, but it's got a start. Planning on black.

product testing my 29er in New Zealand ... Meorangi Track... mountainbiking heaven .. a spur of the moment decision to take a break .... this is why I work for myself and build frames.
My short chainstay 29er (430mm/16.9" chainstays) is a revelation off-road...... proven MTB geometry on big wheels with no frame-geometry compromises creates a bike that helps you nail technical track ..... it's a lot of effort to get achieve the short chainstays ... bent seat-tube, direct-mount front derailleur .... don't accept anything less!

Nothing fancy this week. The start of a run of six cycletrucks, lots of tube cleaning to do before I can start assembling.
Miscellany from the past week.

Started on Dave's fast tourer today.
Removed some material from Dazza's head lug to make an added head tube extension look more "welcome".

Dry fit in the jig. Making sure all of the tolerances are spot on.
Brazing all of the braze-ons before brazing the front triangle.
