Default pics of my crashed DeRosa

Last May, I hit a curb riding my DeRosa. I thought you might enjoy seeing what happened to the top tube lug. I'm putting a new front triangle on now that the half dozen broken bones are mostly healed. (The worst was squashing T10.)
As you can see, the top tube lug ripped right in half. Fork seems to be OK. I posted in another thread a question about the Neuron tube I'm using for the downtube.
    Here's the pics. -Mark Walberg

Close up pics didn't come through. Will try to add them on.

Good to hear you are healing. Sad to see any De Rosa in such a state. Good luck with the surgery.

I, too, am glad you're back on a bike. Today we had one of our older riders go down in a corner with sand dusting the apex. It always hurts to see people in pain...

I will bring up a question/observation with the crash results. I note that the head lugs both tore open and also delaminated from the tubes. The uneven coating of brass on the exposed tubes' surfaces makes me wonder as to the pre brazing prep of brazing conditions.

Either way I suspect the repair is far better done then the OEM joinery. Andy.
