Le Mans 24h

Anyone following ? I love this race. Some drama in practice already with a huge crash from Loic Duval in an Audi yesterday. Ironically it was the car showed in the and he crashed in the Porsche corner. The Audi mechanics managed to rebuild the car before the qualification this evening.





It should be a close race with Toyota, Porsche and Audi.

Racing doesn't get much better than Le Mans. This should be a good year. Toyota, Audi, and Porsche are looking pretty even in practice.

If you like Le Mans, and you haven't seen Truth in 24, you really need to head over to the iTunes Store and download it. It is a really well done documentary on the Audi team and their Le Mans build up and race. It is one of my favorite documentaries.

24 Hour of Le Mans feels kinda more like an Audi commercial than racing for the past decade. They outspend all the competition in the LMP class by such a far amount its kind of rare to see anyone else put up a fight.

I watched The Truth in 24 II on Netflix and my 9-year-old daughter was totally into it.

Then I drove Circuit de la Sarthe on Forza 3 with a Porsche GT3 and she wasn't impressed.

Should be interesting this year with Audi, Porsche and Toyota all competing in LMP1 ... I'm looking forward to watching it after a 80-90 mile bike ride tomorrow!!

There are some mad battles in the GT category. Currently watching the onboard camera on the team Manthey Porsche chasing a Corvette, I don't know how they manage to race that hard while checking their mirrors at the same times for LMP1 & 2 cars coming. This + the night slowly coming.
