    Default Stuporbowl 2025

This house is cautiously optimistic that once again there will be pop culture on the cutting edge. Glorious half time mishaps and somebody has to win as long as it's the Chief's 'cuase Mrs. Too has a thing for the QB and I'm a cautious man.

Food fare involves a mix of comfort foods and cr@p that will crush your kidneys. De rigueur will be crisps of every kind and an assortment of BBQ.

Who's going to win this thing?

And kick off your day with Scotland v Ireland in the Six Nations if you want to see another type of real football.

We usually have about 30 people over for chili etc, but I'm holding off this year to see who's in the game. The DCA area will go bonkers if the Commanders win this weekend, so will likely follow my local buddies' leads if they're in it.

I'm holding my breath for the Commanders. Personally believe we have the best MVP QB in the game.

I approve your sentiment, but having started following them in 2017-18, I don't find myself being as certain in my predictions. Not counting chickens hatched until it becomes a mathematical certainty. And as shown during the match against Madrid, all it takes is one petulant child so unsettle an otherwise strong back-4.

The Big Ears is still up for grab, and Madrid only needs to be in the knock-out stage to have a veritable chance of winning the whole thing.

I'll be there with my dad - gave him a ticket for Christmas - and we've had a season ticket for what has been a good Scottish season so far.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

    Awesome, enjoy.

We got to Six Nations games at Cardiff, London, and Dublin before the kids were born. I really want to get to Murrayfield, and would go back to Dublin/Cardiff. Twickenham was less enjoyable getting to and from.

    I can walk...

Never been to the others - I work in Cardiff a bit so I've seen their stadium, but not on a big game day.

I'm hoping for Washington v Buffalo and just hope both teams have fun. We're moving to Wyoming and Josh Allen is a UW grad, but I like how Washington has rebuilt their team. I don't want KC, I'm pretty sure Mahomes is in league with Satan. Probably.

    Go Birds!

Menu will include cheesesteaks, Yuenglings, TastyKakes, soft pretzels (yellow mustard only). Since local craft bourbons suck, the non-Philly item Eagle Rare will be permitted on the premises.

I'm ambivalent about the game. Neither team is a favorite for me, so I hope the commercials are good. Maybe this will be the year we finally get a NFS commercial.

    Wid of course.

I really don't get why everyone hates Mahomes. Just 'cause he is a genius thumb sucking baby?

Look for the NFS commercial during half time. Don't blink.

My social battery is completely drained right now. Told my wife if she wanted to invite no more than two families over, I’ll make chili and corn bread.

Otherwise it’ll be just our household and I’ll make pizza.

Nope. The OG thing is French's yellow only.

I enjoy good mustard of all types, but this is the only proper way to go on a real Philadelphia soft pretzel.

I miss Federal Pretzels in South Philly - Schuylkill tap water added terroir that can't be found otherwise in the current local chains. Ate them every day for recess in the 60's- a nickel apiece. Good times.
